I plan to use Facebook to communicate with the digital parents. I also hope to incorporate the the iPad to use for interventions in both math and reading. Also, use an iPad as a communication tool with an autistic student.
I will be using PowerPoint presentations, videos from YouTube that are relevant and real world, and I will have my own website available for students and parents to view.
My worry is Common Core will be like all other government funded educational ideas, just another excuse to teach to a standardized test, instead of preparing them for what they will/should expect in college or in the "real" world, of which these test do not fully show the children taking them.
